Time For An Absolutely Reliable Boycott!!!!!

I know that some of you may occasionally read Absolutely Reliable News & Rumors. I'll admit that in the past I have as well, but not anymore. It's one thing to insult other losers, but when they start dragging my good name through the mud, I draw the line. I am asking everyone to boycott the hateful, vindictive bottomholes that run this atrocious website. No longer will we sit idly by while they tarnish the reputation of reputible coaster enthusiasts everywhere. The boycott involves not visiting the website, not buying any of their merchandise, and not communicating with those who do. These guys obviously are not Wild Ones, because they don't know the least thing about the "3 C's" of the code. So, if you stand for truth, honesty, integrity, peace, kindness, and the American Way, join with me in this boycott of the most foul, hideous website to come out since the Paris Hilton video. Who's with me?!!!!!

Aaron

P.S. If I find out who leaked this information to ARnR, I'm going to Moosh them something fierce.

Well, it's no skin off their noses, Aaron.
I was just thinking they have nothing to lose, and then I see they posted exactly that!
Except I wasn't thinking of money.

Anyway, I enjoy boycotts that are reliable!

Chuck your repeating yourself. Is this to emphasize your digust with that site, or was this because you had a 2 martini lunch? LOL. Lunch is important you know, but you have to watch that 2 martini lunch especially if they are chocolate martinis made by Dawn.

All I ask is that we turn away from the scat talk. It seems that some of you may be into Hot Lunches (or even Cleveland Steamers) and that's fine. But there's really no need to share your urge to be a fecalfeliac here...

Can't Anybody Get Along Here?

I see that I must now become a peacemaker with URC and ARN&R. It is time that this fecal, beastiality, poligomy and incestuous claims from site to site should now be put to bed. Oops, thats what half of that was about, so lets say, be ceased.

Let us offer Olive branches to each other. (Somehow I think both sides will find ways to either beat the other with or they will find interesting ways to use the branches) Anyway, It is time to end this war, holy or unholy, (what makes me think that ARN&R would be wearing holy clothes, not religious holy, hole holy).

You all have something to offer, which is humor. I like Good Humor Ice Cream myself. Anyway, can't we all get along here? This is a big internet, no one needs to read the crap anyone puts out except when names are mentioned and then they need to be rehabbed.

Therefore I am suggesting a halfway house for poor posts of humor. Get in that halfway house and you need to be whipped and pleasured with those Olive Branches. Oops, I take that back also, there would be too many willing to go into that halfway house.

In light of thinking while posting, I say continue with your Holy, Unholy, fight, war, hell, why did you all start this anyway? Continue on gang.

ARnR has insulted me and my friends for TOO LONG.
They don't know who they're dealing with.

What they don't realize is the collective expertise/wisdom that exists right here on this fine site!

They probably think that ALL we HAVE in LIFE is "coaster enthusiasm" - but no, no, no... that's just NOT the case.

OH NO, do not give anymore information like that out. This will entirely make our argument even harder to argue. These people want straight ? and narrow people. As narrow as a person can be. They actually think they are Rumsfeld haters while they are so joined at the hip, well, maybe in ways we cannot explain, anyway thats TMI, well these people are sick. :P

They should be very afraid.

They might not think we can make a difference or hurt them in any way but we can.

We can destroy their credibility, hit em where it counts.

I urge you to join the coalition for enthusiast values and join this boycott.

You're RIGHT Chuck. They really have NO idea how MANY LOSERS WE KNOW. In fact, there are many on this site that have a huge influence on another site:

COASTERBUZZ... and we all KNOW how many LOSERS are OVER THERE!!!

Then there's RRC! (I shudder at the thought).

Just the sheer MAGNITUDE of this loop-counting, ert demanding, T-shirt organizing, Trekkie convention chasing, dateless, living with mother, comic-book reading, pimple popping,inhaler-sucking ARMY will OVERWHELM THEM!!

There is NO WAY they'll EVER be able to stand against such a LOSER ONSLAUGHT!!

Rest assured, they deserve it - in fact RIGHT NOW you should SEE what's POSTED on their SITE...

Oh... wait...

I wasn't supposed to go there anymore (woops, I forgot)

Sorry guys

Re: They should be very afraid.

Like all good gravy-gurgling buffet-grazing three-martini-lunch enthusiasts, I make sure to spend my time in line educating the general public around me on the ride they're about to go on, and I know from the glazed expressions they're hanging on my every word. But now, I'm changing my ways. Thanks to my fellow URCer's, I have seen the light and I'll be preaching all about the boycott to those poor uneducated victims, uh, fellow park patrons. When I think about how many thousands (if not millions) of them don't even know Absolutely Reliable exists so they don't know they could be boycotting it, well, it just makes my eyes well up with tears. Or maybe it's riding an SLC that does it.

That evil yet funny site no one here will ever visit again and again and again

CoasterBill: It might not cost any money to visit the site, but it is certainly not "free". The price we pay is the humiliation that some of us receive so that the rest of you can be "entertained". This is a high price indeed. You may love the site now, but wait until your name is dragged through the mud. You won't think it's so funny then. You'll notice when I link to their site I am strictly warning people NOT to go there. I wouldn't want someone to accidentally visit the site and get hooked into their mean-spirited form of "entertainment".

Re: Time For An Absolutely Reliable Boycott!!!!!

I agree with the Rev about having a life. I work around 28 hours a week at the Comic Book store. When I'm not at work, I spend time riding coasters, planning trips to ride coasters, and reading about coasters on the Net. I also have every epidsode of the X-Files on DVD and watch them religiously (and let's be honest, who doesn't love the X-Files?). I have bowling league on Monday night, online coaster chats every Tuesday and Thursday, and on Wednesdays I volunteer at the Boys and Girls clubs to teach disadvantaged youths how to play chess. Weekends are usually busy at my home park (Enchanted Village) where last year I rode Timberhawk over 500 times. According to the park's PR lady this is the current record and I'm not planning on giving it up any time soon. It's not that great of a coaster, but at least I have the record. Last year I rode over 150 different coasters in 22 different states. It sounds to me like someone is jealous.

Since you insist on supporting that evil site -

I haven't been to www.absolutelyreliable.com for a coupla days now! I am having some withdrawal probs, but gravy seems to help.

I certainly won't link to www.absolutelyreliable.com ever again! www.absolutelyreliable.com is a naughty place and they probably have never even been to a Hometown Buffet!

Sorry for the harsh words earlier... just a symptom of withdrawing from the evilly addicting www.absolutelyreliable.com

www.absolutelyreliable.com is a bad place!

Hmmmm, scratchin' my head here, but the only thing that comes to mind is X Flight @ Geauga Lake. One is truly "laid" before the ride commences.

Rev, it must have been a typo. I bet he meant "get Plaid". That 70's attire is just so cool you know. Just picture a buffet line of enthusiasts in plaid cargo shorts and park Tees. GQ here we come.

You know, there was a time when www.absolutelyreliable.com was a shining beacon of journalistic integrity. Back in the good old days when they could spell words like "Reverend". Perhaps we should form an outfit with a name like, oh, "The ARNR Preservation Org (Formerly Club)".

Resist temptation, Read the good book and support the American way by not ever visiting http://absolutelyreliable.com/ again

Chuck, what if you're not American, does that mean that http://absolutelyreliable.com/ has a tendancy to corrupt easier? I'd like to stay, but have to go get my 1901 wooden coin with Ed's head on the coin, then go get my ear medicine, and ready to camp out a year before Star Wars Episode III.

I find it quite funny that the people complaining and whinning about this particular site, are the same people who cry and complain about everything else.

Build a bridge and get over it already.

Once again, the people who haven't been made fun of on their site can't figure out why we're mad. If they made fun of you for wanting to be an MLB ump (which is a great goal IMHO) you might not feel the same way. Other comedians hate David Spade because he's only funny when he's making fun of other people. That's how we feel about ARnR.

I have started an on-line petition to put an end to ARnR's evil. I encourage all of you to sign the petition. If you haven't been made fun of on ARnR yet, it's only a matter of time before you are. (Especially with ARnR spies lurking on message boards everywhere) Everyone please sign the petition before it's too late.

Yeah, those new state quarters are really neato. Do you alphabetize your coin collection too?

As far as what getting laid means maybe you should try asking THE ANGRY DARENS MULLINS that question, or then again that probably is a bad idea, we are alreadly taking enough heat on this site as it is from those people over at that evil and so tempting site. That is a place I will never go again.

When have I ever complained about anything? - I'm a fun-loving person who just wants to ride coasters, go to trek conventions, bowl, collect coins, watch X- files, and wear plaid without getting made fun of

Eric, one of your greatest attributes is your never whining. One of your scariest attributes is that you will be coming to the chilly neighborhood if your looking for the Gates of Hell. I may actually start asking State Police for their help in finding it. I will hold out on that until you say your arrival is in a day or two.

lol - we need weird New Jersey, but I do hope I can convince the wife and kids of the importance of some of these sights. I'm trying to dig up some genuine cultural/historical significances (or maybe just some shopping malls - lol)

Aaron, I say we do buy it from them so we can later boycott that as well. I mean if they don't make anything to begin with and then start making money (and your fame) and then they think they are getting abig bankroll, well wouldn't it be better to pull the rug from uderneath them? Just a thought.

Thanks for bringing this post back guys. I forgot how great it was in the good old days to bring down a tyrannical giant like ARnR (www.absolutelyreliable.com). It feels like the 60s again (except I wasn't there at the time). This was one of the funniest threads in URC history and I'm glad I had a part in it.
